Καὶ ἀναστὰν ἅπαν τὸ πλῆθος αὐτῶν ἤγαγον αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὸν Πιλᾶτον.
Tutta l'assemblea si alzò; lo condussero da Pilato
* And the whole of their assembly rose up and led him to Pilate ⓘ. *

ἤρξαντο δὲ κατηγορεῖν αὐτοῦ λέγοντες· Τοῦτον εὕραμεν διαστρέφοντα τὸ ἔθνος ἡμῶν καὶ κωλύοντα φόρους Καίσαρι διδόναι καὶ λέγοντα ἑαυτὸν Χριστὸν βασιλέα εἶναι.
e cominciarono ad accusarlo: «Abbiamo trovato costui che metteva in agitazione il nostro popolo, impediva di pagare tributi a Cesare e affermava di essere Cristo re».
* And they began to accuse him: «We found this man subverting our nation ⓘ, forbidding the tributes to Caesar ⓘ and calling himself Mašiaḥ ⓘ, a king». *

ὁ δὲ Πιλᾶτος ἠρώτησεν αὐτὸν λέγων· Σὺ εἶ ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων; ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς αὐτῷ ἔφη· Σὺ λέγεις.
Pilato allora lo interrogò: «Sei tu il re dei Giudei?». Ed egli rispose: «Tu lo dici».
* And Pilate questioned him: «Are you the king of the Judeans ⓘ?». And he, answering, declared: «You say so». *

ὁ δὲ Πιλᾶτος εἶπεν πρὸς τοὺς ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ τοὺς ὄχλους· Οὐδὲν εὑρίσκω αἴτιον ἐν τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ τούτῳ.
Pilato disse ai capi dei sacerdoti e alla folla: «Non trovo in quest'uomo alcun motivo di condanna».
* And Pilate said to the archiereis (the kohanim of the leadership) ⓘ and to the crowds of am ha-aretz (the common folk gathered there) ⓘ: «I find nothing worthy of condemnation in this man». *

οἱ δὲ ἐπίσχυον λέγοντες ὅτι Ἀνασείει τὸν λαὸν διδάσκων καθ' ὅλης τῆς Ἰουδαίας, καὶ ἀρξάμενος ἀπὸ τῆς Γαλιλαίας ἕως ὧδε.
Ma essi insistevano dicendo: «Costui solleva il popolo, insegnando per tutta la Giudea, dopo aver cominciato dalla Galilea, fino a qui».
* But they insisted: «He stirs up the people ⓘ, teaching throughout Judea, from Galilee ⓘ all the way to here».
