Ἀναβλέψας δὲ εἶδεν τοὺς βάλλοντας ⸂εἰς τὸ γαζοφυλάκιον τὰ δῶρα αὐτῶν⸃ πλουσίους.
Alzàti gli occhi, vide i ricchi che gettavano le loro offerte nel tesoro.
Lifting up his eyes, he saw the richⓘ casting their offeringsⓘ into the Temple treasuryⓘ.

εἶδεν δέ ⸀τινα χήραν πενιχρὰν βάλλουσαν ἐκεῖ ⸂λεπτὰ δύο⸃,
Vide anche una vedova povera, che vi gettava due monetine,
He then saw a poorⓘ widowⓘ casting in two small coinsⓘ,

καὶ εἶπεν· Ἀληθῶς λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἡ χήρα ⸂ἡ πτωχὴ αὕτη⸃ πλεῖον πάντων ἔβαλεν·
e disse: «In verità vi dico: questa vedova, così povera, ha gettato più di tutti.
and he said: «Truly I say to youⓘ: this poor widowⓘ has cast in more than allⓘ.

⸀πάντες γὰρ οὗτοι ἐκ τοῦ περισσεύοντος αὐτοῖς ἔβαλον εἰς τὰ ⸀δῶρα, αὕτη δὲ ἐκ τοῦ ὑστερήματος αὐτῆς ⸀πάντα τὸν βίον ὃν εἶχεν ἔβαλεν.
Tutti costoro, infatti, hanno gettato come offerta parte del loro superfluo. Ella invece, nella sua miseria, ha gettato tutto quello che aveva per vivere».
For all these out of their surplusⓘ cast into the offeringsⓘ, but she out of her wantⓘ cast inⓘ all the livingⓘ that she had».
