Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ εἶναι αὐτὸν ἐν μιᾷ τῶν πόλεων καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ πλήρης λέπρας· ἰδὼν δὲ τὸν Ἰησοῦν, πεσὼν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον ἐδεήθη αὐτοῦ λέγων· Κύριε, ἐὰν θέλῃς δύνασαί με καθαρίσαι.
Mentre Gesù si trovava in una città, ecco, un uomo coperto di lebbra lo vide e gli si gettò dinanzi, pregandolo: «Signore, se vuoi, puoi purificarmi».
And it came to pass that, while he was in one of the cities, behold, a man covered with tzaraʿat (ritual leprosy) tzaraʿatⓘ, the impurity that segregates him from the community as a metzoraʿ metzoraʿⓘ; seeing Jesus, he fell upon his faceⓘ and besought him, saying: «Lordⓘ, if you will, you can restore to me tahorah (ritual purity) tahorahⓘ».

καὶ ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα ἥψατο αὐτοῦ λέγων· Θέλω, καθαρίσθητι· καὶ εὐθέως ἡ λέπρα ἀπῆλθεν ἀπ' αὐτοῦ.
Gesù tese la mano e lo toccò dicendo: «Lo voglio, sii purificato!». E immediatamente la lebbra scomparve da lui.
And stretching out his handⓘ he touched himⓘ, saying: «I will itⓘ, be purifiedⓘ!». And immediatelyⓘ the leprosy departed from him.

καὶ αὐτὸς παρήγγειλεν αὐτῷ μηδενὶ εἰπεῖν, ἀλλὰ ἀπελθὼν δεῖξον σεαυτὸν τῷ ἱερεῖ καὶ προσένεγκε περὶ τοῦ καθαρισμοῦ σου καθὼς προσέταξεν Μωϋσῆς, εἰς μαρτύριον αὐτοῖς.
Gli ordinò di non dirlo a nessuno: «Va' invece a mostrarti al sacerdote e fa' l'offerta per la tua purificazione, come Mosè ha prescritto, a testimonianza per loro».
And he ordered him to tell it to no oneⓘ, «but go, show yourself to the priest (kohen)ⓘ and offer at the Temple (Beit ha-Miqdash) for your purificationⓘ as the prescribed mitzvah Moses prescribedⓘ, as a testimony to themⓘ».

διήρχετο δὲ μᾶλλον ὁ λόγος περὶ αὐτοῦ, καὶ συνήρχοντο ὄχλοι πολλοὶ ἀκούειν καὶ θεραπεύεσθαι ἀπὸ τῶν ἀσθενειῶν αὐτῶν·
Di lui si parlava sempre di più, e folle numerose venivano per ascoltarlo e farsi guarire dalle loro malattie.
But the word about him spread all the moreⓘ, and great crowds gathered togetherⓘ to listen and to be healed of their infirmitiesⓘ.

αὐτὸς δὲ ἦν ὑποχωρῶν ἐν ταῖς ἐρήμοις καὶ προσευχόμενος.
Ma egli si ritirava in luoghi deserti a pregare.
But he withdrew into the desert placesⓘ and prayedⓘ.
