GreekΚαὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ εἶναι αὐτὸν ἐν μιᾷ τῶν πόλεων καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ πλήρης λέπρας· ἰδὼν δὲ τὸν Ἰησοῦν, πεσὼν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον ἐδεήθη αὐτοῦ λέγων· Κύριε, ἐὰν θέλῃς δύνασαί με καθαρίσαι.
Orthodox ReadingAnd it came to pass that, while he was in one of the cities, behold, a man covered with tzaraʿat (ritual leprosy) tzaraʿatⓘ, the impurity that segregates him from the community as a metzoraʿ metzoraʿⓘ; seeing Jesus, he fell upon his faceⓘ and besought him, saying: «Lordⓘ, if you will, you can restore to me tahorah (ritual purity) tahorahⓘ».

Greekκαὶ ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα ἥψατο αὐτοῦ λέγων· Θέλω, καθαρίσθητι· καὶ εὐθέως ἡ λέπρα ἀπῆλθεν ἀπ' αὐτοῦ.
Orthodox ReadingAnd stretching out his handⓘ he touched himⓘ, saying: «I will itⓘ, be purifiedⓘ!». And immediatelyⓘ the leprosy departed from him.

Greekκαὶ αὐτὸς παρήγγειλεν αὐτῷ μηδενὶ εἰπεῖν, ἀλλὰ ἀπελθὼν δεῖξον σεαυτὸν τῷ ἱερεῖ καὶ προσένεγκε περὶ τοῦ καθαρισμοῦ σου καθὼς προσέταξεν Μωϋσῆς, εἰς μαρτύριον αὐτοῖς.
Orthodox ReadingAnd he ordered him to tell it to no oneⓘ, «but go, show yourself to the priest (kohen)ⓘ and offer at the Temple (Beit ha-Miqdash) for your purificationⓘ as the prescribed mitzvah Moses prescribedⓘ, as a testimony to themⓘ».

Greekδιήρχετο δὲ μᾶλλον ὁ λόγος περὶ αὐτοῦ, καὶ συνήρχοντο ὄχλοι πολλοὶ ἀκούειν καὶ θεραπεύεσθαι ἀπὸ τῶν ἀσθενειῶν αὐτῶν·
Orthodox ReadingBut the word about him spread all the moreⓘ, and great crowds gathered togetherⓘ to listen and to be healed of their infirmitiesⓘ.
