Προσέχετε δὲ ἑαυτοῖς μήποτε βαρηθῶσιν ὑμῶν αἱ καρδίαι ἐν κραιπάλῃ καὶ μέθῃ καὶ μερίμναις βιωτικαῖς καὶ ἐπιστῇ ἐφ' ὑμᾶς αἰφνίδιος ἡ ἡμέρα ἐκείνη
State attenti a voi stessi, che i vostri cuori non si appesantiscano in dissipazioni, ubriachezze e affanni della vita e che quel giorno non vi piombi addosso all'improvviso;
Take heed to yourselves, lest your ⓘ be weighed down by dissipation and drunkenness and the cares of life, and that ⓘ close in upon you suddenly

ὡς παγίς· ἐπεισελεύσεται γὰρ ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς καθημένους ἐπὶ πρόσωπον πάσης τῆς γῆς.
come un laccio infatti esso si abbatterà sopra tutti coloro che abitano sulla faccia di tutta la terra.
like a ⓘ; for it will come upon all those who sit upon the face of all the earth.

ἀγρυπνεῖτε δὲ ἐν παντὶ καιρῷ δεόμενοι ἵνα κατισχύσητε ἐκφυγεῖν ταῦτα πάντα τὰ μέλλοντα γίνεσθαι καὶ σταθῆναι ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου.
Vegliate in ogni momento pregando, perché abbiate la forza di sfuggire a tutto ciò che sta per accadere e di comparire davanti al Figlio dell'uomo».
Keep watch therefore at every ⓘ ⓘ, that you may have the strength to escape all these things that are about to happen and to stand upright before the ⓘ».

Ἦν δὲ τὰς ἡμέρας ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ διδάσκων, τὰς δὲ νύκτας ἐξερχόμενος ηὐλίζετο εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ καλούμενον Ἐλαιῶν·
Durante il giorno insegnava nel tempio; la notte, usciva e pernottava all'aperto sul monte detto degli Ulivi.
He ⓘ by day in the ⓘ, while at night he would go out and ⓘ on the mount called the Mount of ⓘ.

καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ὤρθριζεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ ἀκούειν αὐτοῦ.
E tutto il popolo di buon mattino andava da lui nel tempio per ascoltarlo.
And all the ⓘ would come to him early in the morning in the Temple to hear him.
