Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ συμπληροῦσθαι τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ἀναλήμψεως αὐτοῦ καὶ αὐτὸς τὸ πρόσωπον ἐστήρισεν τοῦ πορεύεσθαι εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ.
Mentre stavano compiendosi i giorni in cui sarebbe stato elevato in alto, egli prese la ferma decisione di mettersi in cammino verso Gerusalemme
And it came to pass, when the days of his being taken upⓘ were being fulfilled, that he set his face firmlyⓘ to journey toward Jerusalemⓘ.

καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ἀγγέλους πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ. καὶ πορευθέντες εἰσῆλθον εἰς κώμην Σαμαριτῶν, ὡς ἑτοιμάσαι αὐτῷ·
e mandò messaggeri davanti a sé. Questi si incamminarono ed entrarono in un villaggio di Samaritani per preparargli l'ingresso.
And he sent messengersⓘ before his face; and these, having gone, entered a village of Samaritansⓘ to prepare his welcome.

καὶ οὐκ ἐδέξαντο αὐτόν, ὅτι τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἦν πορευόμενον εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ.
Ma essi non vollero riceverlo, perché era chiaramente in cammino verso Gerusalemme.
But they did not receive himⓘ, because his face was journeying toward Jerusalem.

ἰδόντες δὲ οἱ μαθηταὶ Ἰάκωβος καὶ Ἰωάννης εἶπαν· Κύριε, θέλεις εἴπωμεν πῦρ καταβῆναι ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἀναλῶσαι αὐτούς;
Quando videro ciò, i discepoli Giacomo e Giovanni dissero: «Signore, vuoi che diciamo che scenda un fuoco dal cielo e li consumi?».
Seeing this, the disciplesⓘ James and Johnⓘ said: «Lordⓘ, do you wish that we tell fire to come down from heavenⓘ and consumeⓘ them, as Elijah also did?».

στραφεὶς δὲ ἐπετίμησεν αὐτοῖς.
Si voltò e li rimproverò.
But he, having turnedⓘ, rebuked themⓘ.
56
καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν εἰς ἑτέραν κώμην.
E si misero in cammino verso un altro villaggio.
And they journeyed on toward another village.
