GreekΚαὶ ἐξελθὼν ἐπορεύθη κατὰ τὸ ἔθος εἰς τὸ Ὄρος τῶν Ἐλαιῶν, ἠκολούθησαν δὲ αὐτῷ καὶ οἱ μαθηταί.
Orthodox ReadingAnd having gone out, he went, according to his ⓘ, toward the Mount of Olives ⓘ; and his disciples also followed him ⓘ.

Greekγενόμενος δὲ ἐπὶ τοῦ τόπου εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Προσεύχεσθε μὴ εἰσελθεῖν εἰς πειρασμόν.
Orthodox ReadingAnd when he had come to the ⓘ, he said to them: «Pray ⓘ, so as not to enter into ⓘ».

Greekὤφθη δὲ αὐτῷ ἄγγελος ἀπ' οὐρανοῦ ἐνισχύων αὐτόν.

Greekκαὶ γενόμενος ἐν ἀγωνίᾳ ἐκτενέστερον προσηύχετο· καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ἱδρὼς αὐτοῦ ὡσεὶ θρόμβοι αἵματος καταβαίνοντες ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν.

Greekκαὶ ἀναστὰς ἀπὸ τῆς προσευχῆς ἐλθὼν πρὸς τοὺς μαθητὰς εὗρεν κοιμωμένους αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ τῆς λύπης,

Orthodox ReadingAnd he said to them: «Why do you sleep? Rise up ⓘ and pray ⓘ, so as not to enter into temptation».
