GreekΓενομένης δὲ ἡμέρας ἐξελθὼν ἐπορεύθη εἰς ἔρημον τόπον· καὶ οἱ ὄχλοι ἐπεζήτουν αὐτὸν καὶ ἦλθον ἕως αὐτοῦ καὶ κατεῖχον αὐτὸν τοῦ μὴ πορεύεσθαι ἀπ' αὐτῶν.
Orthodox ReadingWhen day cameⓘ, he went out and made his way toward a deserted placeⓘ; and the crowdsⓘ were searching for him insistentlyⓘ, and they came up to him and were trying to detain himⓘ, so that he would not depart from them.

Greekὁ δὲ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς ὅτι Καὶ ταῖς ἑτέραις πόλεσιν εὐαγγελίσασθαί με δεῖ τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ, ὅτι ἐπὶ τοῦτο ἀπεστάλην.
Orthodox ReadingBut he said to them: «To the other towns as wellⓘ it is necessary that I proclaim the besorah, the good news besorahⓘ of the Malkhut, the royal lordship of God Malkhutⓘ, for this is why I was sent as shaliaḥ, the agentⓘ, the one sent who acts with the authority of the one who sends him according to the shelichut».

Greekκαὶ ἦν κηρύσσων εἰς τὰς συναγωγὰς τῆς Ἰουδαίας.
