Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἐλθεῖν αὐτὸν εἰς οἶκόν τινος τῶν ἀρχόντων τῶν Φαρισαίων σαββάτῳ φαγεῖν ἄρτον καὶ αὐτοὶ ἦσαν παρατηρούμενοι αὐτόν.
Un sabato si recò a casa di uno dei capi dei farisei per pranzare ed essi stavano a osservarlo.
And it came to pass that, when he entered the house of one of the leaders of the Pharisees Phariseesⓘ, the observant perushim, on the day of Shabbat Shabbatⓘ to eat bread — to share the meal according to hospitality breadⓘ — they were watching him closely watching himⓘ.

καὶ ἰδοὺ ἄνθρωπός τις ἦν ὑδρωπικὸς ἔμπροσθεν αὐτοῦ.
Ed ecco, davanti a lui vi era un uomo malato di idropisìa.
And behold, a man manⓘ afflicted with dropsy was before him.

καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν πρὸς τοὺς νομικοὺς καὶ Φαρισαίους λέγων· Ἔξεστιν τῷ σαββάτῳ θεραπεῦσαι ἢ οὔ;
Rivolgendosi ai dottori della Legge e ai farisei, Gesù disse: «È lecito o no guarire di sabato?».
And Jesus, answering, said to the teachers of the Torah teachers of the Torahⓘ and to the Pharisees (perushim): «Is it permitted according to the halakhah permittedⓘ to heal on Shabbat, or not?».

οἱ δὲ ἡσύχασαν. καὶ ἐπιλαβόμενος ἰάσατο αὐτὸν καὶ ἀπέλυσεν.
Ma essi tacquero. Egli lo prese per mano, lo guarì e lo congedò.
But they kept silent kept silentⓘ. And he, taking hold of him, healed him healedⓘ and sent him away.

καὶ πρὸς αὐτοὺς εἶπεν· Τίνος ὑμῶν υἱὸς ἢ βοῦς εἰς φρέαρ πεσεῖται, καὶ οὐκ εὐθέως ἀνασπάσει αὐτὸν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ σαββάτου;
Poi disse loro: «Chi di voi, se un figlio o un bue gli cade nel pozzo, non lo tirerà fuori subito in giorno di sabato?».
And he said to them: «Which of you, if a son or an ox falls into the well wellⓘ, will not pull him out at once on the day of Shabbat?».

καὶ οὐκ ἴσχυσαν ἀνταποκριθῆναι πρὸς ταῦτα.
E non potevano rispondere nulla a queste parole.
And they had not the strength to rebut rebutⓘ these words.
