Καὶ ἦν ἤδη ὡσεὶ ὥρα ἕκτη καὶ σκότος ἐγένετο ἐφ' ὅλην τὴν γῆν ἕως ὥρας ἐνάτης
Era già verso mezzogiorno e si fece buio su tutta la terra fino alle tre del pomeriggio,
And it was already about the sixth hourⓘ, and a darknessⓘ came over the whole landⓘ until the ninth hourⓘ,

τοῦ ἡλίου ἐκλιπόντος, ἐσχίσθη δὲ τὸ καταπέτασμα τοῦ ναοῦ μέσον.
perché il sole si era eclissato. Il velo del tempio si squarciò a metà.
the sun having been eclipsedⓘ. And the veilⓘ of the Templeⓘ was tornⓘ down the middle.

καὶ φωνήσας φωνῇ μεγάλῃ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν· Πάτερ, εἰς χεῖράς σου παρατίθεμαι τὸ πνεῦμά μου. τοῦτο δὲ εἰπὼν ἐξέπνευσεν.
Gesù, gridando a gran voce, disse: «Padre, nelle tue mani consegno il mio spirito». Detto questo, spirò.
And having cried with a loud voiceⓘ Jesus said: «Fatherⓘ, into your hands I commitⓘ my spiritⓘ». And having said this, he breathed his lastⓘ.

Ἰδὼν δὲ ὁ ἑκατοντάρχης τὸ γενόμενον ἐδόξαζεν τὸν θεὸν λέγων· Ὄντως ὁ ἄνθρωπος οὗτος δίκαιος ἦν.
Visto ciò che era accaduto, il centurione dava gloria a Dio dicendo: «Veramente quest'uomo era giusto».
And when the centurionⓘ saw what had happened, he kept giving glory to Godⓘ saying: «Truly this man was righteousⓘ».

καὶ πάντες οἱ συμπαραγενόμενοι ὄχλοι ἐπὶ τὴν θεωρίαν ταύτην, θεωρήσαντες τὰ γενόμενα, τύπτοντες τὰ στήθη ὑπέστρεφον.
Così pure tutta la folla che era venuta a vedere questo spettacolo, ripensando a quanto era accaduto, se ne tornava battendosi il petto.
And all the crowdsⓘ who had come together for this spectacleⓘ, having contemplated the things that had taken place, returned home beating their breastsⓘ.

εἱστήκεισαν δὲ πάντες οἱ γνωστοὶ αὐτῷ ἀπὸ μακρόθεν καὶ γυναῖκες αἱ συνακολουθοῦσαι αὐτῷ ἀπὸ τῆς Γαλιλαίας ὁρῶσαι ταῦτα.
Tutti i suoi conoscenti, e le donne che lo avevano seguito fin dalla Galilea, stavano da lontano a guardare tutto questo.
And all his acquaintancesⓘ were standingⓘ at a distance, and the womenⓘ who had followed him from Galileeⓘ, who were watching these things.
