Sell and Give Alms: The Treasure in the Heavens — Lk 12:33-34

33
Orthodox ReadingSell your possessions — what you hold as landed property — and give them as alms of justice , redistributing to the poor according to the commandment; make for yourselves in this way purses that do not wear out and do not grow old, an inexhaustible treasure in the heavens , there where the thief does not draw near nor does the moth gnaw and destroy: the heavenly treasure knows nothing of the decay of the earthly one.
34
Orthodox ReadingFor there where your treasure is, there will also be your heart — the whole inward direction of a person follows what he has chosen as his supreme good.
