GreekἜλεγεν δὲ πρὸς πάντας· Εἴ τις θέλει ὀπίσω μου ἔρχεσθαι, ἀρνησάσθω ἑαυτὸν καὶ ἀράτω τὸν σταυρὸν αὐτοῦ καθ' ἡμέραν καὶ ἀκολουθείτω μοι.

Gnostic TranslationPoi, a tutti, diceva: «Se qualcuno vuole venire dietro a me, rinneghi se stesso, prenda la sua croce ogni giorno e mi segua.

Orthodox ReadingAnd he was sayingⓘ to allⓘ: «If anyone wishes to come after me, let him deny himselfⓘ and take up his crossⓘ dailyⓘ and followⓘ me.

Greekὃς γὰρ ἂν θέλῃ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ σῶσαι ἀπολέσει αὐτήν· ὃς δ' ἂν ἀπολέσῃ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ ἕνεκεν ἐμοῦ οὗτος σώσει αὐτήν.

Gnostic TranslationChi vuole salvare la propria vita, la perderà, ma chi perderà la propria vita per causa mia, la salverà.

Gnostic TranslationInfatti, quale vantaggio ha un uomo che guadagna il mondo intero, ma perde o rovina se stesso?

Greekὃς γὰρ ἂν ἐπαισχυνθῇ με καὶ τοὺς ἐμοὺς λόγους, τοῦτον ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐπαισχυνθήσεται, ὅταν ἔλθῃ ἐν τῇ δόξῃ αὐτοῦ καὶ τοῦ πατρὸς καὶ τῶν ἁγίων ἀγγέλων.

Gnostic TranslationChi si vergognerà di me e delle mie parole, di lui si vergognerà il Figlio dell'uomo quando verrà nella gloria sua e del Padre e dei santi angeli.
